First-ever Passport

If you never had a Machine Readable Passport (MRP), and this is for the first time you are applying for an MRP, you have to visit the Embassy. Please book an appointment with us.

Renewal of Passport

If you already have an MRP but it is expiring (or has expired) and you want to renew it; you have two options:

Option 1:

While sitting home, apply for online renewal. You will get the passport delivered to your mailing address. Please visit Directorate General of Immigration and Passport (DGIMPASS) website and follow the instructions for online renewal of your passport https://onlinemrp.nadra.gov.pk/e-passport/

Option 2:

If you want to visit the Embassy to renew your passport, please book an appointment with us.

Requirements for Adults (18+)

Personal appearance of the applicant(s).
Original Valid NICOP/CNIC along with a photocopy.
Original latest Pakistani passport along with a photocopy.
Proof of legal residence status in Egypt (copy of visa/Iqama/)
No Objection Certificate for Government servants.

Note: Married Female should have Husband’s Name on her CNIC/NICOP. Otherwise Father’s Name will be written on MRP.

Requirements for Children (Under 18)

Personal appearance of the applicant(s) with father or mother.
Original Valid CRC (Computerized Registration Certificate) or NICOP along with a photocopy.
Proof of legal residence status in the US (copy of visa/Iqama)
Copy of Father and Mother’s Valid CNIC/NICOP.

Procedure

Five Steps procedure (should take less than 15 minutes):

The staff at the counter checks documents/proof of payment.
Digital fingerprint capture.
Digital photo capture (without eye glasses
Data Entry (Please Read Data Form carefully and sign the printed form).
Interview and DATA Verification by MRP Officer.

Note:

Fee is non refundable.
Deposit fee at counter.(With Credit/Debit card or Mony order/Cahsier Check Payable to ” Embassy of Pakistan”)
If payment is made through Credit/Debit card additional service charges will be included.

Processing Time

Urgent 2-3 Weeks.
Regular 3-4 Weeks.

Delivery

The delivery of passport can be delayed from prescribed time as passports are printed and dispatched from Pakistan.
You can check the status of your MRP on our Online Tracking System.
Passports are available for pickup by the applicants or authorized person.

Fee Schedule

The Fee schedule is given in Pakistani Rupee (PKR). The applicant has to pay an equivalent amount in local currency i.e. Egyptian Pound (EGP), as per the exchange rate on the day of payment.

Lost Passport

In case, you have lost your passport. Please book an appointment with the Embassy.

Requirements: Detailed Police Report in original is mandatory besides other requirements as mentioned for renewal of passport (see above).

Pakistan’s Mission Abroad will issue emergency passport for return to Pakistan with an intimation to Dte. Gen. I&P.
In Pakistan, the case will be referred to Dte. Gen. I&P for further action.
